Well, today is the big hysterectomy day! I am showered and packed and ready to go to the hospital. I am confident that all will go well and it'll be over before I know it. Sunday I hurt my back and it's tender during the day but owwwwwwwwww owwwwwwwwwww when I first wake up it is really stiff. Doc says no worries - you'll be fine with the surgery. So here goes. I'll write more when I get home. Right now I am starving because I can't have anything to eat or drink before the surgery! My friend is taking me to the hospital because today is an off day for us - she's so good to me! Well, see you when I get back home! Wish me luck!

Well, okay so the workouts are not going so good! Now I've found out that I'm having surgery (hysterectomy) in a week and I am as out of shape as ever! I spend so much time preparing for the workout that I never actually get to the workout. I won't even comment on all the halloween candy!!! Nuff said! Maybe I should just start with something easy like walking on the treadmill! Of course, that would actually require me to get up and do something. I really want to workout but something in my brain keeps talking me out of it. I had a verrrrrrrrrrrrrry healthy eating day today though and I felt better. I've decided to quit moping around and being depressed about having to give up my Realtor job because of the market and to just be grateful and happy with the life that I have. I am grateful to even have a job and a roof over my head in this economy! They still won't admit to a recession though!

Over the weekend we went to my friend's house for her son's Halloween birthday party! It was a blast! (Not so much for her though as she did all the work)! But it was really fun!

Back at it Again

WOW - I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! Needless to say the workouts didn't last long. But starting yesterday I'm back at it! Found out my cholesterol is still high (imagine that) and that my thyroid levels are low soooooooooooo now I'm taking medication for both. The cholesterol medicine is a natural medicine called Heart Savior and the thyroid medicine is not synthetic either. So Doc wants to see me again in three months and I'm going to be in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better shape then. So yesterday was P90X Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X and diet was very good yesterday. Plus yesterday was also yard work X and it was tough and hot!!! Today was P90X Plyometrics (Plyo) and it whipped my booty! Diet not so good today but working on it.

Menu plans for tomorrow: Breakfast: 1 packet instant plain oatmeal/1/2 cup 1% milk/1/4 cup walnuts/tsp blue aguave nector natural sweetener.

Lunch: roast turkey sandwich/reduced fat oo mayo/lettuce/tomato/2% cheese/lite whole wheat bread/grapes/carrot & celery sticks/water

Dinner: Don't know yet.

I really have to get to it this time to save my own life. I think the thyroid medicine is helping me to have more energy though and to feel more like myself. Still taking the Xanex which was prescribed after all I was going through and am still going through with the death of my beloved Grandpa. We're supposed to go on vacation in Oct. to see my Mom and Dad so I'll have to make sure I take my workouts & bands with me.

Tomorrow is Shoulders and Arms and I'm looking forward to that one! Til tomorrow! Nite.

Oops and Oh Yeah

Since the last time I posted my Grandpa got very ill in March and passed away on May 22 (my birthday). It was really a tough time and I haven't done a whole lot since. I have given up selling Pampered Chef kitchen tools because I just can't work two jobs anymore. I am doing very well (except for my lack of fitness which I am changing today!!) I know that things are going to get better and we're going to be okay!!

Fitness Journey Starts Today

Today I found out my cholesterol was 262!!! So now I am getting serious about my health and fitness!

w/o - P90X Chest & Back/ARX

B - WW South Beach Tortilla/TBL PB/1/2TBL apple butter/Diet Coke/coffee
L - WW South Beach Tortilla/tsp mayo/deli turkey/mixed lettuce/slice Provolone cheese (not lowfat but I will get some of that)/few dried cranberries/Diet Coke/
S - green grapes (1 cup) /water
D - Mine and hubby's anniversary so meal not so good Outback onion (1/4), Blue Cheese chopped salad (no blue cheese crumbles - dressing on side used a tsp)/1/2 filet/margarita/diet coke
After workout Beachbody Recovery drink

Okay so I know where my pitfalls are today and will strive to do better. I've gotten lazy and now it's time to get back to it. So here goes my fitness journey!!!
